Cap Malagasy – Local Agricultural Advisory Services

An agricultural advisory system supporting the professionalization of family farms across 9 regions of Madagascar

ANNUAL BUDGET:

970,000 €

Context

Partnership Objectives

  • Professionalize the role of agricultural advisors and strengthen the governance of Cap Malagasy
  • Structure services to improve the living conditions of Fifata member farmers
  • Support the organization of farmers within agricultural value chains

“I am a mother, and in the past I devoted myself entirely to household tasks. Thanks to the support provided by Cap Malagasy, particularly the training on onion and leafy vegetable cultivation, my household’s economic situation has improved significantly. The income generated from these activities now allows me to make a meaningful contribution to household expenses. I have been able to buy school supplies and clothes for my children so that they no longer feel disadvantaged compared with other pupils.”
