RANDRIANOMENJANAHARY Haingoarison alias President Haing, died suddenly on Friday June 10, 2022 in Madagascar. He was one of the founders of the Regional Peasant Organization of Bongolava (Vombo, member of Fifata) in 1999 and was its president from 2000 to 2020. As a result he was a member of the board of directors of Fifata to represent the Bongolava region.

Born on August 1st, 1962 in Antsirabe, he chose, after obtaining his degree in natural sciences at the University of Antananarivo, to participate in the youth migration project in Bongolava to be a farmer. He created the AJEA (Association of Young Agricultural Entrepreneurs). He settled in Ampihoaramaso Ambararatabe Tsiroanimandidy where he founded his home and his family. As part of this project, the State promised young farmers the distribution of a land title but this promise was not kept.

Following this land problem, he realized the importance of owning the land that we operate in order to be able to invest and work in peace. This experience has become one of the reasons for his motivation to invest in the SIF (Solidarity of Land Stakeholders).

Since 2010 he was the president of this organization. He was the initiator of the national consultation on land on June 8 and 9, where he should have made the opening with the Minister of Regional Planning and Land Services.

After training at the Farmer University, provided by Formagri in 2003, he became even more involved in defending the interests of farmers both nationally and internationally.

Since 2012 he has been actively involved in the revival of Formagri and its Farmer University because he was convinced that this tool would be essential for leaders at both regional and national level. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Formagri association.

In addition to these responsibilities, he was also a member of the TTM (Chamber of Agriculture) at municipal and regional level (Bongolava region) and a member of the Board of Directors of the national TTM. Since 2015, he was also a member of the CNAF (National Committee for Family Agriculture).

President Haingo had the interests of farmers at heart. Land and training were its main priorities. He has also done a lot for the financing of agriculture. He led and accompanied the establishment of the CECAM fund in his village, in Ambararatabe. Alongside Fifata and Fert, he has also worked hard to make the FDA a tool at the service of farmers.

For his commitments, he well deserved his medal of knight of the national order.

He was proud to be a farmer and never failed to remind everyone he spoke to. Its operation has become the showcase for fish farming in rice fields and ponds in the Bongolava, recognized by the regional fisheries department and the Apdra association.

He carried out both his professional responsibilities and his commitments as a committed citizen. Thanks to his status as a municipal councilor, his municipality has benefited from financial aid and support from the Brittany region in partnership with the Apdip Tsiroanomandidy. He was also involved in the Church as deacon and catechist of the communal Protestant church and vice-president of the diocese.

He has invested in giving young people from his home access to training and entertainment. He founded an AIKIDO club of which he was the coach, trainer and president.

During his travels abroad, he found a Luxembourg partner who made it possible to finance the new high school and to create training tools, libraries and football pitches.

President Haingo was a fervent defender of farmers, a unifier, a man eager for training and information. He was also a man of sharing who gave his time to others.

Like his fish, he also knew how to swim in different environments and universes; from Ministers to politicians, donors and farmers.

A man who never gave up in the face of difficulties. He never tired of repeating that there was a solution to every problem.

“If you encounter difficulties, everything will work out because the problems just pass; they are just obstacles
to cross “.

Madagascar has lost a very great leader but thanks to his work and his determination he bequeaths to young people his convictions and his commitments.
