Context
The CFAR des Savanes trains rural young people from the Poro and Bagoué regions in northern Côte d’Ivoire for careers as farmers. Established in 2019, the centre has been managed since 2024 by the Tefalidjanwi Association.
Partnership Objectives
- Provide a two-year initial vocational training programme in farming for young people aged 16 to 25, including daughters and sons of farmers, with at least a lower secondary school education
- Develop a diversified educational farm that showcases innovations adapted to the realities of family farming in northern Côte d’Ivoire
- Support young people in their professional integration projects through two years of post-training follow-up
