Since 2012, Fifata, a national farming confederation in Madagascar, has wished to have an internal training system within the framework of skills building of its peasant leaders. Engaged in representing and defending peasant interests, Fifata spoke of the importance of having leaders trained in a progressive path of responsibility, from the basic farming organization to the national level.

The document published below describes the experience of implementing one of the Peasant Leader Training (CFP) services, the Young Farmers Trained (JAF) in the Fekama Agricultural Colleges, which consists of training and The accompaniment of the young peasant leaders.

This training service was set up with the support of Fert in response to the needs expressed by Fifata.
