Description

With a local NGO partner (Agrifert) as intermediary, Fert supports development of the raw-milk cheese sector in two regions of the State of Minas Gerais to improve production conditions, cheese quality and marketing conditions. In early 2012 the Apaqs and Aprocan associations obtained recognition for the uniqueness of their cheeses as part of a Geographic Indication approach.
