Some members of the RCM (Mediterranean crops network) met in restricted group in Beirut at the occasion of the regional meeting promoting the Conservation Agriculture organized by the GIZ and the Acsad from 18 till 22 June 2012.
The RCM meeting that took place on June 20th in Beirut comes after the orientation workshop that was held during 3 days in Bizerte (Tunisia) in the previous month of March. This meeting concerned innovations to be introduced into Mediterranean agro-systems, in particular through Conservation Agriculture facing the impact of Climate Change, as well as the validation of internal organizational orientations for the network.
This meeting was a good opportunity to widen the network to the east of the Mediterranean and to strengthen relations of the RCM with the present international institutions.
