On April 25 and 26, AFD organized two days of conference dedicated to the employment of young people in Africa. The day of the 26th was devoted to the integration of young Africans into agriculture; It was co-organized by Fert and Montpellier SupAgro.
After two interventions on the challenges and effects of the integration of young rural people in the South, a round table gave the floor to various practitioners to deal with vocational training, integration support, massification and sustainability. She gathered:
- Seydou Ouedraogo, peasant leader member of the Confédération Paysanne du Faso (CPF)
- Achima Cyrille Akpele, a young Ivorian producer who is a member of the Coopara
- Pierre-Blaise Ango, Coordinator of the Afop Program in Cameroon
Christian Fusillier, project manager of AFD’s Education and Training Division, and Ibrahima Hathié, trainer-researcher and facilitator of Think Tank Ipar in Senegal, also contributed to this round table.
