It is often said that production is fundamental to viable farms and strong farmer organizations. Unfortunately, the technical resources available in each country are very often limited. It is in this context that Fert and its partners organized a training course on the fundamentals of agronomy and agroecologie, held at Ceffel in Madagascar. The training was led by Delphine Bouttet, an engineer at Arvalis, and Andry Rasamimanana, technical manager at Ceffel.

These documents contain the key lessons from this training course, which focused on three main areas: soil health and fertility, plant nutrition, and plant health.

The training course on the fundamentals of agronomy was organized over ten days from February 24 to March 6, 2025, and brought together 17 people from six countries (Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Morocco, Malawi, and Madagascar).
